Callum, Pete, and Richard were able, at very short notice, to organise a candle lit vigil at the Mound on Saturday evening. Protest in Harmony added some wonderful singing. Many thanks to all who attended at such short notice.
Katrina from the Preston New Road site spoke by phone to the crowd assembled at the Mound, to explain how three of our fellow activists ended up in jail because of their strong belief that fracking will harm everyone. Michelle Easton also spoke describing how her partner is now in prison, and how we will not be intimidated by this evil industry. We need to bear in mind that this vindictive sentence is the first since 1932 that concerns environmental activism.

Lastly a piece of remarkable news regarding Helen Chuntso’s team of legal experts who have succeeded on halting progress at the Preston New Road site.
